Situated on the banks of the river Karha. Baramati was once ruled by the Yadavas of Devgiri and then the Bahamas of Gulbarga and then by Bhonsales and later came under the great reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj & was administered by Dadoji Konddeo & later by Babuji Naik.
